The Timber rain poncho is a multifunctional garment that can be transformed into a semi-open tent when needed. Its lightweight construction and durable materials make it a reliable piece of equipment for any expedition. Thanks to its compact size when folded, the poncho can be easily stored in a car glove compartment, bicycle pannier or backpack, always ready for use during an unexpected change in weather.
Durable polyester with PU coating and Rip-stop weave
The poncho is made of strong polyester reinforced with Rip-Stop weave, which prevents tearing and abrasion. This material is not only resistant to mechanical damage, but also has a high water resistance of 5000 mm/m2 thanks to the polyurethane (PU) coating. This combination guarantees effective protection against rain and wind, even in difficult terrain conditions.
Zipper, protective flap, 5 peg loops
The front of the poncho is closed with a zipper, which has been secured with a Velcro flap, effectively limiting the ingress of water and wind gusts. Velcro panels have been placed on the sleeves to attach patches or insignia. At the top of the hood is a tensioning loop, which makes it easier to tighten the fabric when setting up the poncho as a shelter. In addition, 5 loops for pegs located around the edges of the poncho allow it to be securely attached to the ground.
Versatile use from poncho to semi-tent
The Timber model can be successfully used as a semi-tent. All you have to do is spread it on the ground, support the middle part with a trekking pole or a branch and attach the edges with pegs. When you connect two ponchos, you get a closed tent with sleeve openings that serve as ventilation windows. This solution not only provides protection from rain, but also ensures adequate air circulation while camping.
Complete transport and installation kit
The set includes everything you need for immediate use. In addition to the poncho, you get eight steel pegs, 18 cm long and 4 × 4 mm in cross-section, three ropes, 2 m long and 3.5 mm in diameter, and a practical transport cover. The whole set is designed to take up as little space as possible and be easy to pack in a backpack or bag.
